UNS N08825 alloy pipe is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with additions of molybdenum, copper and titanium. The chemical composition of the UNS N08825 alloy pipe is designed to provide exceptional resistance to many corrosive environments. The nickel content is sufficient for resistance to chloride-iron stress corrosion cracking. Reducing environments such as those containing sulfuric and phosphoric acids. The molybdenum also variety of oxidizing substances such as nitric acid, nitrates, and oxidizing salts. the titanium addition serves, with an appropriate heat treatment, to stabilize the alloy against sensitization to intergranular corrosion.


Material properties and application

The resistance of UNS N08825 alloy pipe is a kind of general engineering alloy pipe. It has the corrosion resistance of acid and alkali metals in oxidation and reduction environment. High nickel content makes the UNS N08825 alloy pipe has effective resistance to stress corrosion cracking. It has good corrosion resistance in various media, such as sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid and organic acid, alkali metal such as sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid solution.
